Write for us
Curious Theatre Review welcomes thoughtful proposals about plays, performance, stagecraft, theatre history and the experience of attending theatre. We are looking for clear, lively pieces that give readers a fresh way to notice how theatre works.
What makes a strong pitch
Tell us the central question your piece will answer, why it matters to a curious audience and what makes your angle distinct. A useful pitch is specific: it might explain a theatrical convention, compare two approaches to a stage problem, or show how a detail in a script changes what an audience can imagine. Broad topics need a sharp, manageable focus.
A good fit for the site
We welcome accessible essays, explainers, comparisons and carefully framed historical pieces. We value accurate details, a lively voice and a clear distinction between fact and interpretation. Avoid pitches that depend on unverified claims, undisclosed promotional interests or access you cannot describe honestly.
Send a proposal
Use the Contact page to send your pitch, a short note about your approach and any relevant writing samples or links you choose to include. Do not send a complete article unless requested. A proposal is not a promise of publication, and any accepted work will be discussed with its terms and edits made clear.
